Information About AAC |

The
Automotive Apprenticeship is looking for eager, hard-working
individuals willing to face the challenge of the growing demand
in the automotive field.
We
will train in both the workplace (employer's shop) for hands-on
learning during the day and the local community college for classroom
learning during the evening for two nights a week. Upon completion
of the apprenticeship program's on-the-job training and school
requirements, you will receive a State Trade Certificate issued
by the Division of Apprenticeship Standards, State of California.
Benefits of the program include paid education, paid vacation, health & welfare, six-month
advancement, dental/eye care, retirement/pension, and a 401k program
(not available in all areas).
The
minimum age requirement for the program is 18 years; there is
no maximum age for the program. In addition, you must have a high
school diploma or have passed the GED exam. You must also have
a valid California Drivers Liscence and you must
pass an entrance examination.
Wages start at 50% of Journeyman. Applicants, upon meeting the
minimum entry requirements, will be given a list of employers.
